Connect WPF client to WCF Service Library asynchronous and with duplex connection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am trying to learn to connect a WPF client to a WCF Library Service based on these two links:

    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/247743/Asynchronous-Duplex-Communication-Between-WPF-And

    http://www.packtpub.com/article/implementing-wcf-service-real-world

I wan't to have a asynchronous and duplex connection to a WCF Service Library, I think.

Is this the correct way to go?

I can not wrap my head around this, help please.

  • Hi,

Yes, you can refer the blog to achieve the goal, you can create a WCF Library Service with service contract and callback contract, and check "Generate asynchronous operations" when adding the service reference for the WPF client.

    Best Regards.
