Access 2016 Navigation Form: Navigation buttons appear selected when they are not. RRS feed

  • Question

  • In a new Access 2016 project I have a new navigation form that I created via: Create > Navigation > Vertical tabs, Left. I set up some buttons and when I tested it in form view the buttons don't behave like they should.

If I click through all the options the buttons appear to stay selected when they are not and this visual state is cleared by the highlight function of waving the mouse over the buttons.

How do I stop this and get normal button behavior?

  • Hi,

Just curious... Are you viewing the Form in Normal (Form) view or Layout view?

  • This only happens when the form is in Normal view. Like when it is compiled and distributed as an executable front end file.

I've been trying to post an example as a GIF but I need my account verified. I can show you what it looks like at that point.
