how to make vertical listview not intercept horizontal scrolling RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm sure that this is an easy solution, but I can't seam to figure this one out. I solved the issue of horizontal and vertical scrolling by setting its manipulation mode to "translate y," but can't figure out how to make it ignore horizontal swiping gestures.

  • Does this work?
    <ListView ScrollViewer.HorizontalScrollMode="Disabled">

    NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.

  • Unfortunately, there was no change.

  • I set the manipulation mode back to system, which solved the horizontal scroll problem, but brought me back to the issue of single axis scrolling (don't scroll both vertically and horizontally at the same time)
