    Hi Guys,

    HierarchyId is introduce in SQL Server 2008.

    Do you guys, having an example display the hierarchy list, find the ancestor, similar to hierarchyId in "Azure Table Storage"

    Or similar method to display, add, reparent

    Try the SQL Server doc at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb677193.aspx and related links... More likely this is very similar to what you seems to have seen with Azure.

    Yes hierarchyid can be used in sql azure, but I was thinking not to use relational database.

    Is there any example display hierarchy list, add hierarchy and reparent in azure table.

    Hi,

    you can put the key of the parent as an extra field in the "record" you're saving as well. There's no direct relational strategy in table storage like you can have in SQL.
