How to detect rename of a folder? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using storageFolder.createFileQuery() and storageFolder.createFolderQuery() to detect changes in the content of "storageFolder". But how do I detect changes of the name of "storageFolder" itself? The listeners all still work when I rename the folder but the name reflects the old one, not the new after renaming.

  • Listen to the parent of storageFolder?

NOTE: If I ask for code, please provide something that I can drop directly into a project and run (including XAML), or an actual application project. I'm trying to help a lot of people, so I don't have time to figure out weird snippets with undefined objects and unknown namespaces.

  • That's not possible, cause the user picked the folder. So I cannot get the parent folder.
