    Hello people

I want to develop a website with crytal reports with reports

I made a test in local working properly but I upload it to hosting fails to display a test report:
An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.

    and

Exception Details: CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.

I have a question, to post the necessary web server is installed in the crystal reports? is there any way to upload and libraries to work? if you can not make it work with the libraries you know of any hosting with Crystal Reports?

    thanks

Part of the installation process includes setting up the CR references within the configuration files as well as creating the virtual folder within IIS.  If you do not install, you will need to make the changes manually.

You already have these changes if you installed the CR for .NET functionality on your local computer.  You will need to update the configuration files on your production server. If, however, you are using a hosted site, you may not be able to use CR as your reporting tool.

    Hi juanjo,

For Crystal report hosting, you may check asphostportal.com. I see they also offer CR with affordable price

    Hi Juanjo_16v,

Crystal Reports runtime is a tool to installed basic dll or say environment in server, because you can not want to installed whole crystal report to server.

So you just download from official site. It is also important to installed proper CR runtime tool as per your visual studio framework (also check for 64 bit / 32 bit) .

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6591923/sap-crystal-reports-runtime-for-net-4-0-64-bit

For your second answer, you have to given full permission of your temp folder in your application and in your computer to write temporary file of crystal report too.

If you able to change with sql reporting service which comes with visual studio, then good. no tension while deploy.

    Thank you.

I have a basic web application, develop with visual studio 2012, crystal reports and framework 4. In my local machine I have installed the crystal reports 13 for VS. when I run the app, I can show the report fine.

I try a hosting, (you can see http://juanjogb.simply-winspace.es/WebCR.aspx), the hosting is not intalled the CR runtime, I upload:

    - I compile with x86

    - directoty: asp_client

    - dll: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\dotnet and log4net.dll

    but, I have the error:

An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.

I can't intall the runtime in the server.

I don't know if I include the merge modules, the app run well, I will try, but I think the CR runtime is required.

    thank

Based on the error message, you have not installed it properly.  It has to be installed so that the license is registered on the system where it will reside.  Thus, since you cannot install on the server, you will need to find another hosting option for your CR.
