c# and PowerPoint RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Visual Studio 2010 and PowerPoint 2003.  I need a way to programmatically set a portion of the text to bold in the PowerPoint slide.  I could just create a textRange for each block of code but it would be less messy to learn how to change a block of code in a TextRange instead.

  • Hello,

With PowerPoint 2003, you can record a macro while marking the text as bold. This will give you the idea of what objects, properties and methods are involved in the process. Say, you can create a new TextRange via newTextRange = oldTextRange.Characters.Select(n, n+m) and then apply newTextRange.Font.Bold = Office.MsoTriState.msoTrue.
