If I register a new background task in another background task's execute code.

    Question

  • Hi,

I need to register two background task for my app. The second one is dependent on the first one. I register the second background task in the first background task's execute code. It works normally in Windows 8, but a bit different  in Windows 8.1.

I register the first background task with 15-mins MaintenanceTrigger(one shot only). Then I register the second background task in the first one's execute code, with 30-mins MaintenanceTrigger(not one shot).

    The difference is that:

In Windows 8, the second background task will run after 30 mins from it be registered.

In Windows 8.1, the second background task will run immediately(within one minuter) when it be registered.

I want to know why. And, I need to confirm that some different details of background task in Window 8 and Windows 8.1.
