    Hey there,

I've been looking for software to record my iOS simulator in high definition, but I can't seem to find a proper one. Is there anyone here which can guide me into the right direction?

What software is used in this video: http://components.xamarin.com/view/alert-center/ ?

    Regards, Mittchel

Camtasia seems to be a solid option for HD video.

Side Note: I know someone will end up searching for this, so might as well provide it here. I use Reflector for presentations that require an app to run on the device (like push notifications).

And on another tangent: if you wanted to do it programmatically, directly on device, there are private iOS APIs that allow you to do that, eg: https://github.com/kishikawakatsumi/ScreenRecorder

Btw, mods: can we move this to the iOS forum? Useful stuff here :)

FYI, a related tool I have found to be super-handy is the Reflector app (http://www.airsquirrels.com/reflector/). It allows you to record video from an actual iOS device onto your Mac using the AirPlay protocol. Works great, is available for both Mac and Windows, and costs just $12.99. I frequently use it to send videos of apps in progress to clients.

Since this has turned into a thread all about presentations and the likes, here are some helpful libraries I found the other day that would make your presentation look great!
