using NXT manifests from example loads the example! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to make RoboticsTutorial4 a WPF instead of windows form. So I copied the WPF example (located in UX) and started copying the partner contracts and methods into it. I also copied the manifests (NXT and RoboticsTutorial4) into the project Debug. Now, when I try to debug the solution, it starts the original RoboticsTutorial4 in windows form.

I'm pretty sure the problem has to do with either the manifests, the debug output folder or the PartnerCreationPolicy.UseExisting)

How to solve this? Should I created new manifests? I'm not sure where it tells it to load the original dll.

Is there an available source code for roboticsTutorial4 in WPF?

  • If you copied the code from a sample then it is "user" code. In particular, the Contact Identifer probably contains ".user". If you copied original manifests then they will refer to contracts without the ".user" which will run the code as distributed by Microsoft.

You should use the DSS Manifest Editor (DSSME) to edit the manifest and make sure it is set up to use the right services.

There is no sample of RoboticsTutorial4 in WPF.
