Cancelling a meeting request automatically removing a meeting from the Calendar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are using SMTP to send/cancel meeting invites.

We are using outlook as the client.

When we send a cancel request, the meeting is getting automatically deleted from the calender even before the user clicks the "Remove from calendar".

    Following is the generated envelope:

    Any suggestions on this issue?

  • Hi,

What version of Outlook are you using? What version of Exchange?

  • Hi,

    The outlook version is 2016.

Not sure hot to check the Exchange version. But I guess it is the latest.

  • I can't remember but I think Outlook 2013 or later remove it automatically while Outlook 2010 or earlier send the "remove from calendar" email.
