Excel runtime for .net RRS feed

           I'm Developing ASP.NET application which is importing data from Excel. It's working fine, but when its deployed in the server. It not recognize the xls file (Server there is no excel installed)


              Without installing the Excel in the Production Server is it possible to put runtime file  ??


    any other methods to read the excel file??

  • Pretty sure you don't need anything installed, and if you want office 2007 support try this

  • You definitely do NOT need to install Excel on a server to be able to work with Excel files using Jet. But Jet OLEDB is not installed by default, since it is not a part of MDAC for several years. You need to install it separately downloading latest Service Pack (which I believe is 8) for Jet from here



    And keep in mind that installation is platform-dependant.

    Yes. After i installed the JET OLEDB its working fine. Cheers.
