It is possible to data bind MSChart to the OLAP cube but you need to take care of generating the MDX query and processing the results. Chart is just a view and is not aware that ii is connected to the cube. Dundas OLAP Services product provides additional functionality which takes care of cube conection and provides interactive user interface.

Sadly Dundas OLAP Services are no more. Dundas had up until October 31st 2010 to sell their charting components, including the OLAP services one. As far as I am aware the MSChart components are based on the Dundas code. However, Dundas OLAP services are now lost to the world. Easily the best Ajax cube browser I have seen. What have Microsoft done with it? RIP.Tuesday, December 14, 2010 1:20 PM
