Simulated Noise RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody,

my question it's about the intrinsic noise from the real sensors.
It is possible simulate noise in sensor or in the enviroment where I simulate my sensor?
I need to create a service that simulates the noise of the sensor?

    Thanks in advance!

    Dani.

  • All of the code for each of the simulated sensors is provided with MRDS... So, for instance, if you needed to add error to a simulated SICK LMS, you can add it at the sensor service. You could add straightforward gaussian noise if you wanted, or do something more complex based on the material struck by each individual ray... the material and reflectance information is accessible in the service code along with distance and angle.
