Open WordPad in an Unbound Object RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a user who asked that I open WordPad from within my app,  I use the following code and all works well:

    Dim A As String
    A = Me.Customer_Folder & "\" & strID & "_Notes.RTF"
    OpenWordpadFile A, vbNormalFocus

    NOW he wants me to open it (WordPad) in an unbound object on a form.  Is this possible?  I can't find anything via Google.

    Thanks!

  • Yeah, it should work. use the unbound OLE control. Place it on your form and a wizard should open and ask you what object you want to use. WordPad is at the end of the list.

    Frankly, I didn't even know WordPad still came with Windows. They take away Mine Sweeper and leave WordPad. Go figure.
