Vertical spacing problem with ReportViewer.WinForms. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using the Report Viewer for a number of reports and generally it works fine.  But I'm having trouble with vertical spacing of textboxes.

I can set a number of textboxes, all the same size, at vertical locations that are equally spaced and it looks fine in design view.  In the final report most of the rows are where they should be but there's a big vertical space between some of the rows.

I've tried all kinds of variations: using snap to grid and not using it; using different sizes of grid spacing and different values of textbox height and vertical padding.  The results vary but all show a problem of uncontrolled vertical spacing.

I've found other posts in this forum on this problem but no solutions or workarounds.  Is this a bug in the Report Viewer?

My environment: Microsoft.ReportViewer.WinForms 9.0, .NET 3.5, VisStudio 2008, Std. Ed.
