  • The BIDS version for SQL Server 2012 is based on Visual Studio 2010. You can get it through the installation of SQL Server (and not through the installation of Visual Studio).

  • Hi pokdbz2909,

Visual Studio 2012 does not contain Business Intelligence project templates at present, the SQL Server product team are planning to migrate the Business Intelligence project templates in the Visual Studio 2012 shell. Please refer to Julie Strauss's reply: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vssetup/thread/f800376f-c782-4500-8423-22fb1374cae4/

You need to install SQL Server Data Tools which is contained in Microsoft SQL Server 2012, for more information about installing SQL Server Data Tools, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh500335(v=vs.103).aspx

  • That link opens up a broken page.

Is there anywhere else that it can be downloaded from?
