Cannot set up PIN for Azure AD user on Windows 10 (Creators Update)

    Question

  • Hi have had the following issue with trying to log in to Windows 10 using Office 365 / Azure AD credentials. Each time I log in I get instructed to set up a PIN, and instead of bringing up the tenant login screen, I get the following error message:

For additional help, contact your support of IT helpdesk with the following details.
    Error code: 0xc0090030
    Correlation ID: 1f51d584-b292-0000-35f9-a61f92b2b201
    Timestamp: 2017-04-12T14:49:34.038Z

The correlation ID and timestamp change each time.

I am currently in Creators Update, and got the same previously on the same PC with Anniversary Update. I rebuilt the PC from scratch once during Anniversary Update and again when I installed Creators Update. Each time all data was wiped from the disk, and the installation was as a shiny new fresh PC.

I reviewed this help thread to no avail, save that I confirmed that my TPM is working (no surprise as I use bitlocker): https://t.co/xRrh6fP1TR

    All help much appreciated.
