Office 2010 - Powerpoint: VBA Closes Form with Presentation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I've encountered a strange problem with VBA in PPT 2010. maybe someone can help me a little bit:

I've created a form and placed two things on it: a button wich starts a action and a list box which should show the results of this action. The action that should be done when pressing the button is opening some PPTx-files, process these and close each file afterwards (except the PPTx where the macro is included). Finally the user should be able to see some comments on the processing in the listbox.

In PPT 2003 this was working very good, but in PPT 2010 the form is closed automatically when the 1st PPTx is closed by calling "Presentation.Close" - which is not the one containing the macro....

Additionally PPT crashes when I try to run the VBA macro a 2nd time.

Has anybody seen this before and might give me a hint how to solve this?
(I can provide you more informations if you want, e.g. some parts of the source code)...

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards,

    Markus
