Sign user out using the RESTAPI RRS feed

  • Question

  • Heya, Im sure this is an easy one, is there any documentation around talking to your REST API to sign out the user from server side code?

  • It doesn't look like we currently have this functionality.  The javascript example I linked to earlier is probably your best bet.

  • Hmm.. Okay thanks :)

Just one thing though... Microsoft Connect got One thing right and one thing wrong I think... Its cool you have a restful APi... Its bad everything is Javascript driven. Hope this improves.

  • Hi!

I've implemented an ASP .NET application hosted in a multi functional printer using the REST API. After signing the user in and browsing his files I need the ability to sign the user out, otherwise when the next user walks up to use the application he will start the application and get to see the files of the last logged in user. This is a showstopper and I need a way to either sign the current user out or somehow make sure the first user never stays signed in. Any ideas how either of those could be done is much appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Will signing the user out using the REST API be supported any time soon? Is there a workaround so the user doesn´t stays signed in?

We do not have any plans to support signing out using the REST API at the current time.

  • Hi, we now support sign out through the REST API.  See our documentation below:
