  • I can launch store to show a package using ms-windows-store:PDP?PFN=<PackageFamilyName>.

but the package family name is nessasary.

May I show it using package name.

    like ms-windows-store:PDP?xxx=<PackageName>.

  • Hi tom and jerry 11

I was wondering if you could provide us with some clarification as to what you want the outcome to be.  Are you asking about what name will be showin the Windows Store, or what name the app will be referred to internally.

  • Hi mark_1h

I am sorry for reply so late.

In fact my app will lauch windows store app to show a package page using the protocol ms-windows-store.

That like if I run "ms-windows-store:PDP?PFN=Microsoft.Camera_8wekyb3d8bbwe" to show the "camera" in store.

but the package family name is nessasary. I want to know it could't to get the same result using package name?

because I can get package name easily.

  • Hi tom and jerry 11,

Having looked into the issue, I do not believe that the PackageFamilyName setting can be bypassed.  Based on feedback it is necessary.

    I hope it helps.

  • I am sorry for reply so late.

I have modified my app. I had given up the PackageName and turn to using the PackageFamilyName to open app page in the windows store.

Thank you everyone for your reply.
