  • Hey guys,
Is there a way to compile the C++ Source files I have written in Windows 7 so they will run on Windows XP SP2? Thanks!

  • The computer you use to create the program is irrelevant.

What may matter is the settings of the compiler for your project. What kind of project is this?

  • Set WINVER and _WINNT_WIN32 to 0x0501.  This will allow you to target XP and later operating systems.

For details, see How to: Modify WINVER.
