How to make wallpaper sticky after reboot RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Everytime I reboot the wallpaper I set before is not active.
When I check the settings it is marked correctly. On the other hand, the
background color stays as selected after a reboot.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Franz

  • If this is a custom shell, this behavior is expected. Why this is -- I don't know. Your custom shell would have to reset the wallpaper on each boot.

  • Yes, it is IE8 as shell. MS should really change this annoying behavior.
Do you happen to know which regkey to write upon boot to load the wallpaper?

    Thanks

  • There was an earlier post on this, and I spotted the issue with the beta. There are two locations to set the wallpaper

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921049

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa452934.aspx

A fix to the wallpaper and better branding options are needed.
