Oracle to SQL Server migration - Connecting to wrong database RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to create a test migration from Oracle to SQL Server using the SSMA console.  In my script I have designated a database called 'SQLTEST1', yet when I run the script, it migrates data into a different database (named 'CIS') on the same server.  The connection string in the script output does not contain a reference to either database:

           > Connection string: Server=localhost;Encrypt=true;TrustServerCertificate=true;Trusted_Connection=true;Application Name=SSMA for Oracle;Pooling=False;

    The user account under which I am running the script has the default SQL Server database set to 'SQLTEST1'.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi Matt,

    The 'SQLTEST1' database already exists on the SQL Server instance, right? Could you please show us the the script file?

    You may refer to the followng link to specify the SQL Server and Oracle server information in the script file or a server connection file:
