Deploying on Azure using Git - problems with Microsoft.Office.js RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm having issues hosting my Office app on Azure websites because the Microsoft.Office.js that is specified by nuget isn't actually publically available, so it is not automatically generated. I guess if someone else tried my git project, it would fail there also. Any ideas are much appreciated.

To replicate, create a website (MVC4) add an App for Office, Enable package manager for the solution, and then try to have it install by git into Azure.

If you search online, you will not find Microsoft.Office.js nuget package, so it must be installed locally. But how to deliver the package? Do I need to check into source control the packages/office directory?

  • I went ahead and checked in that part of my package and was able to get past this error.
