  • Hi Er.karthikn,

Securing SQL Server can be viewed as a series of steps, involving four areas: the platform, authentication, objects (including data), and applications that access the system. The following link will guide you through creating and implementing an effective security plan.
You can find more information about SQL Server security at the SQL Server Web site. This includes a best practice guide and a security checklist. This site also contains the latest service pack information and downloads.

Some tools for diagnose and troubleshoot common performance problems:

    •SQL Server Profiler
•System Monitor (in the Windows Server 2003 operating system) or Performance Monitor (in the Windows Vista operating system and Windows Server 2008), also known as Perfmon
•Dynamic management views (sometimes referred to as DMVs)
•SQL Server Extended Events (Extended Events) and the data collector, which are new in SQL Server 2008.
