  • Hi,

Now got clarity and done the setup.

    1. We have to use the setup mentioned in Windows HCK see below:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh997862.aspx

    2. For 1_Machine and 2_Machine the setup same

    3. In 1_Machine tests: The controller directly run on the DUT which in connected with Client. And in 2_Machine tests: the controller runs the test on both client and support machines.

  • 1. Backchannel Switch is the local network switch will will allow the MessageDevice Nic(s) on the SUT and DUT to communicate to the WHCK Controller.

    2. Back-to-back is advised as some of the tests can cause most switches to fail. In my testing, when using a switch instead of a back-to-back, the switch would enter a bad state, requiring a reboot of the switch and restarting of any tests that had failed due to the switch failing.

    3. The above setup is for WHCK (Hardware Certification Kit), the other setup was the required/advised setup for WLK 1.6.

  • 1.In above setups which setup I have to use?

    2.And in LAN Tests have

            NDIS Test6.0[1Machine]-1c_testname

NDIS Test6.0[2Machine]-2c_testname  these type tests. And all these tests have the same setup or different?

3.What is the difference between 1_machine(1 Card) and 2_machine (2 cards) in tests.
