Monitor bandwidth for a specific port number RRS feed

  • Question

  • hello. I am looking an application that can show me "how much" bandwidth is occupied by a specific port on windows server 2008 for incoming and out going traffic. This is a general question, more or less for ideas and suggestions. even if there is any third party please let me know.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Ghasem,

The best way to create a report or see how much bandwidth is being use by some server in some specific port is to use your firewall solution, like ISA, TMG or another 3rd party solution.

With NetMon 3.4 ( http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4865), you can view all the packages with the source or destination port that you wants, but you can only see their size packet by packet.

    I hope this helps you.
