Has anyone encountered or have a fix for the blend IDE/Menus
corrupting on Nvidia 8800GTX hardware? I have several development
machines 2 with FX5600's one with a 6600 and the last with the 8800
and only on the 8800 does blend corrupt its ide/menus. I have tried
various driver builds WHQL and non-WHQL with no luck. Interestingly
the 6600 and the 8800 both use the same driver build now forceware
169.32 and the 88 corrupts and the 66 does not.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Just a bit of further info, I have discovered that this problem occurs under
    WinXP SP2 too...

    Hey,

Could you attach a screenshot of the corrupted menu. We had an issue with
non RTM versions of WPF 3.5 cauisng the Menus to be cut off.
Could this be related to the WPF version you have on that machine?

    Speaking about UI corruption...
Hotfix KB938660 introduced weird WPF artifacts on WPF output (see
http://www.codeworks.it/public/wpf.png vertical shadow) anyone knows how to
remove that hotfix? (installed by Vista SP1...)

  • I'm still having major issues with Blend on Nvidia hardware. Occurs in Blend 1,2 and 2.5. Tried a few more forceware revisions and tried altering the application specific settings in the Nvidia control panel but still not having any luck.

    Anyone have a solution?
