Audit Schema Object Change not logged, but found in transaction log RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using SQL Server Audit to log some activities from the database. One of them is SCHEMA_OBJECT_CHANGE_GROUP, we use it for logging sth. like Create, Alter and Drop stored procedure.

We audit some stored procedure modifications history, comparing the audit log and transaction log.

We found that one stored procedure was altered by sa in transaction log, but no such logging in server audit log.

Any possibilities for this kind of issue?

    Thanks!

  • SQL Audit captures very specific actions.  Without your actual audit code and exactly what you looking at in the transaction log, it is impossible to guess.

Likely you need to add more items to your audit.

  • Hi Orbulatvx,

    Do you firstly Enable Audit?
