Did the standard location for table-related user code move by upgrading Silverlight Client app from VS2012 to VS2013 Update 2? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've successfully updgraded my LS Web application with Silverlight Client from VS2012 to VS2013 Update 2.

Now I wanted to change the existing _compute method of a column, clicked on the edit link in the column properties and got into an empty _compute method in the file myentity.lsml.cs. I thought "how can it be that my computed property is displayed correctly if the method is empty?". I then found my old _compute method in Server\UserCode\Shared\myentity.cs.

Should I move all the entity-related code from the UserCode Folder to the <entity>.lsml.cs files?

The designer seems to be linked to the .lsml.cs files.

I just would like a confirmation about how to proceed with this.

    Thanks

    Ralph

  • I moved the existing code to the .lsml.cs and deleted the legacy .cs files for the tables. It still works and to me it seems the way to go.
