I'm not sure if my problem is in fact with sync services, but this seems the logical place to start,
When I attempt to create a local Db cache, I get the 'configure data syncronization' dialog.
I select 'New' for the server connection, and receive the 'Add Connection' Dialog
.I enter my Db Server name (a SQL 2008 R2 Server) and credentials (SQL server Authentication).
From here I am able to select the Db from the 'Select or Enter Database Name' in the 'Connect to a Database' Area.
Clicking test connection gives me 'test connection succeded' dialog.
Clicking 'OK' closes the 'Add Connection' Dialog.
In the'Cached Tables' area of the 'Configure Data Syncronization' Dialog. the item 'Application (loading) apears then changes to 'Application'
I click on 'Add".
Here's where things go wrong.
All of the Db's tables are loaded into the 'Tables' List, But if I try to select one and clock OK it is not added to the 'Cached Tables ' List.
A possible clue - All of the fields to the right of the 'Table' List are Grayed out.
I am using...
Visual Studio 2010
SQL Server Compact Edition 3.5.
.net Framework 4.0
I have tried repairing VS 2010, as well as .net 4.0 and SSCE. with no luck
Any help will be appreciated.
