Reporting Services with SQL 2008 R2 64bit RRS feed

  • Hi,

     

    I got a problem with my RSreportserver and I scrap my config. There is a way to restaure the default config of the rsreportserver.config? Or can sombody past me their config so I can copy only the line that are missing in mine ?

    The service refuse to start right now.

  • Or what I can do to restaure my default config ! I try to do a repair on SQL but It's not working.

  • Or how can i reinstall this program ? I never work with it before. It's a SQL for SharePoint.

  • A late reply but this should help others solving the problem.

    I had the exact same error. The root problem was that the C drive on the server ran out of space. I mistakenly stopped Reporting Services and could not bring it back up. I had the C drive expanded but still could not start Reporting Services. I looked at the file:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer.config

    The bottom half of the contents were gone.

    I got the server team to retrieve a copy of RSReportServer.config from tape backup. After this I was able to start Reporting Services.

    I recommend exploring this quick and easy option before the lengthy process (a disaster recovery process) of reinstalling SSRS.
