64bit ADO Recordset RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a 64bit ADO Recordset? Is so, can you refer me to a web link with information. Are there any issues, I need to know or be concern about using a 64bit recordset?

  • COM is traditionally x86 only. ADO is a technology, not a provider. The question you have to ask is whether your provider has a 64-bit driver. For SQL and Oracle these are available. For other providers it depends, you'd have to ask them. Assuming the driver is 64-bit then you could use ADO to work with it although generally there are better options.
