refreshing charts in excel through macro RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a new computer with a new Office 2016 home & business.

A previous excel program (XXX.xlsm) that worked well on previous versions of EXCEL fails on the new EXCEL 2016.

The file includes one chart sheet,  and the chart is changed step by step by a macro. However, in the new excel, the chart is not refreshed in each step, but only changed at the end of the macro (or when a break is forced), and shows the (true) final state.

Any use of "refresh", "calculate", "refreshall", ...   within the macro  does not help.

While the graph is not refreshed, the macro succeeds in changing, for instance, the heading of the chart in each step.

According to your description, could you reproduce this issue, when you changed chart step by step manually?

  • Have you tried to use "Chart.Refresh" method?
