Can't debug on device RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am not able to debug on device (HP iPAQ 510) using VS 2005 sp1. I am using USB cable with active sync for debugging. I got the following error:
"The device security configuration disallowed the connection. Ensure that you have the appropriate certificates on your device for development. Review your SDK documentation for proper security settings for connecting to this device"

I found the link: "http://blogs.conchango.com/stuartpreston/archive/2005/11/10/2376.aspx" which describes about the same problem. It suggests to change the registry settings to enable the device debugging. The registry editors I found were able to show the settings but not able to change the settings. I used the regeditSTG and PHM regedit.

    Can somebody help me.

PS: HP iPAQ 510 is a smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.

  • Hi,

you shall ask the manufacturer for help on this. AFAIK there is no other legal way to get rid of this security setting though.
