  • Question

  • First of all, may I say, this is possibly one of the most useless error messages since 'An Error Occured, OK?"

Now, how do I go about finding where the problem is.

Using Visual Studio 2008 with the latest service packs.

Using only the GUI builder, I built an embedded  report resource (rdlc file) which contains 4 chart objects.  Each chart was bound to the appropriate dataset table by dragging the column to the series, data, or category fields as required .  That dataset was built with the dataSet wizard, and verified by doing a preview.

When I run the app, my report only displays this useless error message.

Googling for this error message yields little other than other peoples confusion about what this message means.

I would appreciate any help you may provide
