High safety with Automatic failover RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Is it possible to configure a time delay value when using SQL Mirriring - High Safety with Automatic failover?

I have 2 data centers, 1 SQL cluster in each.  Cluster 1 is the active cluster and Cluster2 in the the DR DC.  I have mirroring configured between the 2 clusters.  I have tested this config and it works really well.

The only issue I have is that if the active node in Cluster1 fails and caused a cluster node failover SQL mirroring immediately kicks in and forces a Mirror failover to Cluster2.  It doesnt give the cluster time to recover beforehand.

Is it possible to configure a 2 minute timeout when using Mirroring with Automatic failover?

    Thanks in advance!
