Multiline, Subscript, superscript options for a messagebox RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was wondering if there was a way to do the following in a messagebox?

I know you could have multiple lines using word wrap, but I would like an easier way to distinguish where to start a new line

Also is it possible to have subscript and superscript text in a message box?

    Thanks,

  • You can put a newline in a messagebox by using Chr(13) or vbNewLine (I think there's also a System.Environment.NewLine property defined...).

    MsgBox "Line 1" & Chr(13) & "Line 2"

As fas as I know there's no way to do subscript/superscript in a messagebox, what I'd recommend is make your own Form with a RichTextBox control, set the Enabled property to False, and then display that using Show or ShowDialog.

    Hope that helps,
