How windows knows UEFI boot up time? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know the registry key(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power\FwPOSTTime) recorded UEFI boot up time, but how OS calculate the time? I looks hard to get accurate time either OS or UEFI itself.

  • My question is how OS know the time so that I can do performance profiling?

If you would ask what kind of performance work, sorry I cannot tell you. It's MS turn now to continue the thread.
