I have Windows 7 Home Professional in Portuguese, should have a way to usespeech recognition in English even if the PC is in Portuguese, because I can speak in English.

From the readme (http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/projects/kinectsdk/docs/readme.htm) you'll see that for speech recognition you'll need, in addition to kinect SDK, the speech platform runtime (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=bb0f72cb-b86b-46d1-bf06-665895a313c7), the speech platform SDK (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=1b1604d3-4f66-4241-9a21-90a294a5c9a4&displaylang=en) and the kinect for windows runtime english language pack (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=220942).

After installing kinect SDK, you should see a speech recognition sample under C:\Users\Public\Documents\Microsoft Research KinectSDK Samples\Audio\Speech
