SharePoint "Open with Windows Explorer" option intermittently showing up RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have a user on Windows 7 using IE 9 and Office 2010.  All updates installed.  The user intermittently does not have the option, when clicking on the Action menu of a document library, to Open with Windows Explorer.

    The user is remote so most of the time I only hear about it after the fact.  Once I was able to screen-share and after about 15 minutes of changing settings in IE it started working - but i'm not sure that what I changed fixed it or if it just started working again.  But it appeared to be a one-time fix as it has continued to intermittently not work.

    I'm not exactly which settings this is dependent upon and would like advise for further troubleshooting to see what might be causing this problem.
