Submission with image update only (non-xap) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I just found that an update I recently submitted got the wrong logo image (i.e. 300x300) and what I am not sure is, once it's certified, should I cancel it and submit a new one; or let the update go to the store and then submit another one with the new image?

I know that updates without xap file changes will take much less time to process. The thing that I'm not sure is that whether the user would see another update notification for just an image change? If the change just happens behind the scene without the user's notice, I think I will just let the update go through and then submit another one to correct the image.

Please advise and thanks in adv.

  • Users are not notified of meta-data only updates. The update notification in the Store only occurs if a new binary is supplied as an update to an installed app. As you know, we can't cancel any submissions, so your only option at this time is to supply the new tile once the current review is completed.

Thanks, and kudos on the great app. I use it more than any other app! :)

  • Thanks Danny! Omg you know what app I made? Haha glad to know that it's useful to you!

Btw sorry about the harsh reply in the cancellation thread, I'm sure you guys have a good reason for it. :)
