WDK 8.1 and Visual Studo 2017 RC RRS feed

  • Installed VS 2017 Enterprise RC and WSDK (WDK) 8.1 and 10 for device metadata deployment and augmentation.

    The "Driver" menu bar option does not appear. But the 'DeviceMetaDataWizard' can still run.

  • each wdk is paired with a specific version of VS, 8.1 is either paired with VS2012 or the version after, not VS 2017

  • WDK 10 is paired with VS2015, AFAIK there is not a WDK yet for VS2017.

  • Get Visual Studio 2015 and build drivers with WDK10.  You can use the community edition if need be.

  • WDK 10 is paired with VS2015, AFAIK there is not a WDK yet for VS2017.
