  • Question

  • There is a new X12 version release (005010X306) for 820 for Health Insurance Exchange Related Payments (820). I am wondering if Microsoft plans to release the corresponding version of BizTalk Schema?

  • Hi,

Microsoft has added the new schema support in its BizTalk 2013.

  • If they did ship the ACA specific 820, it would not be until CU2 at the earliest.

However, the changes re the stock 820 are quite minimal.  You'd likely have to change only a couple of REF enumerations.

The exact requirements would be detailed in the Trading Partner's Companion Guide.

  • That schema ships with the BizTalk product and is deployed with Microsoft.BizTalk.Edi.BaseArtifacts.dll which should be part of the BizTalk EDI Application.

So, check that that assembly is deployed and there's no duplicate version of that schema anywhere.

  • Sorry, I didn't notice you were using the XmlAssembler instead of the EdiAssembler.

In the case, you have to take some additional action: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb743434.aspx

Note, it appears the namespace in the table are backwards.

Or, you can just use a PassThrough pipeline.
