Column Name vs. DisplayName attribute RRS feed

    Hi,

I'm a newbie to aspx dynamic data and while I'm learning it, there's one thing I can't seem to make up my mind: should I be creating a partial customed class for each table and set the DisplayName attribute for each column OR should I just simple change the column name in the dbml design interface (name attribute not source attribute)?

    Thanks for helping.

Hi there, naming and how you do it are personal choice, I personhally get the names right int he DB and then I use my article Dynamic Data – Custom Metadata Providers to make the names nice the viewing. And in exceptional casses I use the DisplayName Attribute.
