Wdf - Kmdf Fault Injection Test fails on all HCK clients except one. RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are attempting to run HCK and HLK tests in order to submit a new version of our driver. I have gotten all the tests to run except one.

All of the HLK tests run, so I won't discuss these further.

    For the HCK tests, we have six client systems: Windows 7 x86, Windows 7 x64, Windows 8 x86, Windows 8 x64, Windows 8.1 x86, and Windows 8.1 x64.

The HCK Controller is running on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Service Pack 1. THe HCK Controller software is version 2.1.9600. All of the clients have the client software installed from this server.

On Windows 8 x86 (32 bit), the Wdf - Kmdf Fault Injection Test succeeds.

On Windows 8 x64 (64 bit), the Wdf - Kmdf Fault Injection Test fails in the Device Status Check stage. I have not been able to figure out what might be causing this.

On the other four client machines (Win7 and Win8.1), the step that fails is the one labeled "Execute Fault Injection". The steps before this and after it have green checkmarks. I don't see any logs or other reasons for the failure of this step.

What can I do to fix this?
