Loss of monitor touch screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Planar PXL2230MW TOUCH monitor and it was working a few days ago. I had updates since and now it will not work as a touch monitor what can I do?

    According to the Microsoft site ( http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/touch-pen-settings-faq )  I clicked on the 'How do I calibrate my pen and touch settings?' and below is what I did.

    I went to Search and then Entered Calibrate in the search box, and then clicked on Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input to open Tablet PC Settings.

    Check that the monitor shown in the Display field matches the screen you want to calibrate.
    It shows the correct monitor in the field.

    Tap or click Calibrate, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
    The buttons there are turned OFF.

    On the "Other" tab there is a 'Pen and touch' which says configure your pen and touch setting in Pen and Pouch.  I have clicked on the link and get this window;
    Tablet and Pen Setting is unavailable.
    For assistance, contact the manufacturer of your tablet computer.

    I am using a desktop PC with Windows 8.1 and with all the latest updates.  What can I do?
