Biztalk Receive Location To Do a HTTP GET/POST

Question

I am working on a project that requires Biztalk to do a HTTP GET/POST.  Biztalk needs to be the initiator and not have a process where Biztalk listens and waits for a file to be placed in a directory.  Can Biztalk do this or should I create a WCF service which does the HTTP GET/POST and sends the information to Biztalk?

You can use BizTalk Scheduled Task Adapter and schedule your orchestration which can call your project (Web/WCF Service) periodically.

You could use HTTP adapter  to do HTTP GET/POST operations as explained here and if need to schedule BizTalk process to run at regular intervals, you could use BizTalk Schedule Task adapter which is available here.
