How to Generate report from load test result RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I created a load test which contains 15 web tests. i run this test 5 times in a day with different values like number of users, different types of browsers, different mix of networks and so..

my problem here is that i need to generate a customised report of the load test. the description of the report as follows:

    1. one report for each web test in the load test.

    2. Each report for web test should contain following data:

    a. Page URL

    b. Total Time in sec

    c. Request Time

    d. Content Size

and this report should not contain dependant urls.

here, i know only summary page where it displays all the urls and its response time. but it shows all the urls including each page dependant urls and so i am not able to convert this into customised report which i wanted.

Is there any way where i can generate report of my choice? and is there any way to see the cumulative repsonse time of each page instead of reponse time of each dependant url.

any help or suggetions are appreciated.

  • I created some sample reports that you can customize.  Here is a blog post with screen shot and reports: http://blogs.msdn.com/slumley/archive/2006/02/16/load-test-reports.aspx

  • thanks for the reply. i have gone the link provided. it says that reporting tools for VSTS2005, but i am using VSTS2008 Beta2 with SQLEXPRESS 2005.

is these reporting tools works for the version i have? and also read in the doc saying that it requires SQL Server 2005 reportin tools. what this will it be available with SQL Server Express 2005?
